Lucky 13

Before the cosmic roulette wheel could land upon Lucky 13, the year that was morphed into a rare winter storm, blanketing the Sonorous Borderlands in a cocoon of porcelain and the sound of things to come.

From the icy grip of 2012 grew a kind review on January 1 by UTNE Reader for Border Songs, the double CD project which has raised roughly $16,000 to help support the humanitarian efforts of No More Deaths.

Chosen as a "CD of the Month," UTNE is also offering an exclusive !!FREE!! MP3 download of Offended Turf/Droneland Security.

However, this download offer is for a limited time only, so get 'em while they're hot.

Then on January 5 the mojo will continue with a benefit concert for No More Deaths featuring various artists from the double CD plus some very special guests.

For this benefit I'm honored to be working again with Adam Cooper-Teran who is preparing a world premier video which will pair the acoustics of Droneland Security with his deep vision for a fully immersive, transmutational deconstructionist borderland experience.

And finally, if you live in the Northern Borderlands selected segments from The Anta Project will serve as a sound installation for Walls Between People, a photography exhibition at The Founders Gallery in Calgary, Canada.

Author Marcello DiCintio whose critically acclaimed book Walls: Travels Along The Barricades includes a section on the fine art of border wall playing, is also slated to read his work during the exhibition.

The idea of virtually accompanying Marcello on border wall as he reads selections from his new book a couple thousand miles away is an interesting concept in this age of virtual everything.

After that, Lucky 13 kicks into hyper-overdrive with a series of projects that will leave no tone unturned in pursuit of the hear and now.

But before it all gets rolling, from me to !!!YOU!!! a very happy and prosperous new year.

Stay tuned.

Stay in touch.

And enjoy Lucky 13.

It's guaranteed to be a sound year...
