THE ANTA PROJECT SO FAR : 2006-2013

In May 2006 The Anta Project officially began when a cello bow was applied for the first time to the The Nogales Border Wall, transforming it instantly from a symbol of fear and loathing into a sprawling electro/acoustic instrument with the possibility of connection through sound ideas.

Since that initial performance seven years have passed, billions of dollars have been spent building new walls, and thousands of migrants have died trying to walk around them.

The Anta Project recordings have been featured in media (creating awareness) and as a fundraiser for organizations providing aid to migrants.

Since 2006 The Anta Project has expanded its scope in various collaborations while staying true to its vision of transformation.

And none of this could have happened without your support and encouragement.

Someday the walls will come down and the borderlands will once again be whole.

But until that day comes, The Anta Project will be there to transform them, one ear at a time.
